Master of Information Systems
You’ll take 12 core courses with program-specific knowledge to help you gain the confidence and skills needed in the tech industry. The coursework includes topics like: IT infrastructure, systems analysis and development, enterprise models, project management, IT architecture, data analysis and business analytics.
Master of Information Systems (Competency-Based)
You’ll take 12 core courses with program-specific knowledge to help you gain the confidence and skills needed in the tech industry. This competency-based program requires students to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience within the past 10 years in a business/IT environment. The curriculum includes topics like: IT infrastructure, systems analysis and development, enterprise models, project management, IT architecture, data analysis and business analytics.
Master of Science in Cybersecurity
You’ll take 7 core courses and 6 degree electives with program-specific knowledge to help you gain the confidence and skills needed in the cybersecurity industry. Your degree electives are organized into two tracks: leadership/auditing and tactical cyber. The coursework includes topics like: advanced cybersecurity, secure software development, cloud security, cyber ethics, secure programming and cryptography.
Master of Science in Data Science
] You’ll take 12 core courses with program-specific knowledge to help you gain the confidence and skills needed in the data science field. The curriculum includes topics like: data science, database management, data analysis and business analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data modeling and data visualization.

The program length for our traditional master’s IT degrees ranges from 17–18 months. However, your time to completion could be impacted by other factors, including any breaks you may take in your studies at the University. Our self-paced competency-based master’s degree in information technology allows you to complete your degree in 12 months depending on how many courses you take each term. But you must meet eligibility requirements to be admitted.
While a master's degree in information technology isn't required for an IT career, it may be beneficial if you want to specialize in a specific area, work in management or get a higher-level role. An advanced degree may also allow you to apply for a broader range of IT jobs.
A master’s degree in information technology can prepare you for a range of employment opportunities in the tech industry. Based on the program you chose, potential job titles you can pursue include information systems director, Information systems manager, network security analyst, security analyst, information security officer, computing services director and data processing manager.
