This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to configure advanced Windows services. The course covers Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), Group Policy, and Identity Federation.

  • Install, configure, manage, and maintain AD DS in a lab environment.
  • Install and configure AD DS on domain controllers.
  • Create and manage Active Directory (AD) users, groups, Organizational Units (OUs) and computers.

  • Set up service authentication and account policies.
  • Maintain AD DS using Windows Server.
  • Configure AD in a complex multiple business unit environment.

  • Create and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Configure Group Policy processing, settings, and preferences.
  • Deploy computer programs, software patches and updates.
  • Manage Windows settings, security settings, and passwords with Group Policy.

  • Determine configuration requirements to implement Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
  • Install and configure AD CS.
  • Manage AD CS certificates.
  • Examine AD CS administration.

  • Develop and execute a plan to implement Identity Federation and Access Solutions.
  • Install and configure Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS).
  • Implement Web Application Proxy (WAP).
  • Install and configure Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS).
